Program Description

The Professional Education Minor for Secondary & K-12 Education prepares students for teaching in grades 6-12 and/or selected K-12 programs. Successful completion of clinical practice (with seminar) and Tennessee-mandated licensure examinations leads to teaching licensure for the content area and grade levels selected. Testing requirements, electronic portfolio development, and other prerequisites for admission to Teacher Education will require consultation with an education advisor.
