Program Description

The minor in Ancient Mediterranean Languages is well suited for students who are interested in participating in intensive study in the Ancient Greek and Latin Languages. The curriculum provides a general grounding in either Ancient Greek or Latin with options for taking courses in Ancient Mediterranean literature, culture, and archaeology. This minor also offers students the chance to participate in the Ancient Mediterranean Club, be initiated into Eta Sigma Phi, the national Classical Studies honorary organization, and publish in Austin Peay’s own Philomathes: An Online Journal for Undergraduate Research in Classics.
