Description: This course will explore various topics related to peace studies, including theories of the
causes and resolution of conflict, the understanding of peace, and the history of nonviolent
movements. The course may reflect the interdisciplinary approaches that
characterize Peace Studies, or it may focus on one disciplinary approach to issues of
